Back to Clear Creek
Headed up to Clear Creek again on what turned out to be a beautiful day even with the wind kicking up. I fished above Idaho Springs to avoid most of the runoff color. Once again I tie on a Amy's Ant and walk downstream a ways so I can fish back upstream.
I start throwing to the far side slack water and before you know it I am into fish. Over the next couple of hours I manage to catch ten fish before taking a break about half up the stretch I fish. After the break I continue to work upstream and catch another ten in the next couple of hours including a rainbow.
With twenty fish to hand I decide to call it a day and head back home with a smile on my face.
Rod: Iwana 12' 6/4
Line: Furled 12'
Fly that Worked: Amy's Ant
