Lime Creek

 Day 2 on Lime Creek was mostly hiking but we did get a little fishing in.  We decide to hike down to the confluence with the Animas River about 3 miles down river.  WE get to the Animas and surprisingly there are a lot of people.  I get the rod out and try the Animas River first but can only get a couple sniffs.  As soon as I try Lime Creek though I am on fish.  I end up only fishing for about 30 minutes but manage to get a couple browns and a rainbow to hand.  My buddy had plans for later in the day so we decide to hike back to camp after hanging out for that 30 minutes at the Animas.  Very pretty canyon and would have loved to fish the bottom section of the creek.
