Day 36
Spent a day and a half up at Goose Creek to try out my new Matsugo 5:5 9ft rod. I started upstream and worked my way down trying a number of different terrestrials and catching at least one fish on every pattern I tried. All said and done my most productive fly was the winged ant which caught over half the fish for the day. I end the day around 8:00pm fishing around the campsite with at least twenty for the day. The new rod is super light and very flexible and seemed to need a faster casting action but was great for the small creek and small fish.
