Late February on South Boulder Creek
Had a beautiful day out to try our luck on South Boulder Creek with my buddy Dan today. We got to the creek around 10:30 and had it to ourselves. The flows were still low but we managed to find a bunch of spots where the water pooled up and gave the fish a place to hide.
We call it a day around 1:30pm and head back to the car as the wind started to pick up. Good to be out with an old friend, even with the slow day.

We started the day near the top and worked our way downstream throughout the day. I thought the day would be more productive with the river to ourselves but that was not the case. Over the coarse of the day, Dan had only a couple bites but no fish and I caught one rainbow and had another hooked that got off. The funny thing about the one that got off was that I had grabbed Dan's fishing rod to show him how to cast a little better, and started casting to a hole he had just spent the last 5 minutes at, and hooked into a fish on the second cast, just after I told him the hole was done. To my brother and I this is known as the Mark Weber( Because he catches more fish not paying attention than anyone we know).

I was turned on to the LeBug late last fall by a gentleman who swore by it. Tied up a few of my own( a few in purple) and they have worked every time I used them.
