Clear Creek
Headed up to Clear Creek above Idaho Springs to start the day with a partly cloudy day to start. I begin the day and have patches of sunlight and catch a couple fish before the weather turns fro the worst and I now am in a snow storm. I decide to head down the canyon a ways to see if the weather will clear. Luckily I don't have to go to far before the weather turns back to mostly sunny skies and I find a pullout below tunnel 5 and start fishing. This is a stretch of creek I have never fished before but looks like great water. I manage to catch 33 fish hear all on an Amy's Ant. Top five day of fishing on this creek!

Hi Kevin. I was browsing the internet looking for some interesting blogs to read when I found Tenkara Rising. While I don't fish Tenkara, I noticed that we fish a lot of the same waters (esp. Clear Creek) and who doesn't like great photography? Maybe when the weather is a little more cooperative we'll see you on the waters.
ReplyDeleteYou probably have seen me on the water. I probably fish Clear Creek over thirty times a year.
DeleteI don't fish it quite that often any more myself, but it's still #1 for me. I've never seen anyone fishing Tenkara except a buddy of mine and I several years ago. I usually fish between tunnel #2 and 119 with occasional trips around Idaho Springs. I'll be watching for you. I've added Tenkara Rising to my blogroll because I think you've got some great photography as well.
ReplyDeleteI drive a black Kia Rio and always wear a black and white ball cap. Thanks again for the compliments!
DeleteKevin, I'm going to have to check some old pictures to see if I've got a picture of you somewhere. I remember seeing a black Kia. See you on the water.+
