Arkansas River and Halfmoon Creek
I had heard the flows on the upper Arkansas were past runoff so Mark and I headed up to try our luck. We start down below the kobi area and fish our way back upstream over the coarse of the day. With the fishing not great on the Arkansas and the wind picking up we decide to finish the day on Halfmoon Creek. We start on a section of the creek just down from where I set up camp for the night to see if the fishing has turned on yet. The two of us walk a stretch and have a couple bites but no takers. I finally get one little brookie while Mark pulls one out of the pond to finish the day. All being said a pretty slow day of fishing with both of us just over ten fish each. Still good to get out.
