Colorado River
After camping the night before I decided to try the upper Colorado River for the day. I walk a half mile up before I start trying to avoid the people on the lower stretch. I end up working upstream for 45 minutes and catching nothing, despite switching patterns a few times. I finally settle on a elk hair caddis and it's on. I am into fish the rest of the day catching browns, brookies and cutties. I fish for about 5 hours and by the end have caught close to sixty fish. To finish the day off right, I see a moose feeding at my pullout spot.
