Good day on the Arkansas
Headed down to the Arkansas River with Mark to see if we could have the same luck we had a year ago on this day. We ended up fishing three different spots in Bighorn Sheep Canyon starting up high and working our way downstream. The weather was perfect with hardly another fisherman on the water and the river running around 525cfs and clear.
We both ended up catching fish and shaking off the couple skunks leading into the day with Mark catching the big fish of the day but I got one on a dry. Had a Brown go for my indicator so I tie on a elk hair caddis and boom I land a 11" Brown.
Could not have asked for a better day on the water!

Flies That Worked: Two bit Hooker, Olive Scud, Elk Hair Caddis, BWO Nymph
