Rocky Mountain N.P.

Headed up to the Park for the day with Mark hoping the dry fly action had picked up.  The flows were around 250 cfs with the water low and clear.  I fish a red beetle while Mark fishes a yellow Chubby.  We end up having a great day, catching close to twenty fish each on dries.  We work up to the confluence then fish a few holes coming down before calling it a day.  Great day on the water!

  1. It figures the dry fly action would pick up right after I leave Estes Park. Oh well, there's always next year...

Actually, my daughter starts college in Denver in the fall, so I'll be making more than on trip to CO per year. Hopefully, I can get in a few more fishing excursions.

    1. The fish are very spooky. It took me many days of fishing to learn how to walk Cub Creek without spooking every fish. I went today and still ruined a dozen holes by walking to close.
