Cub Creek
Todays fishing effort took Mark and I to Rocky Mountain N.P. and Cub Creek. We start the day around 11:30am with warm weather and a little wind. The creek is low and for the most part clear. We both start catching fish from the get go and it never lets up. Despite the wind picking up over the coarse of the day we both catch over 30 fish each(nothing over 10"). We were going to try Glacier Creek but never got around to it and left Cub Creek around 6pm to end the day. Great day in the park!

This looks like an interesting place Kevin.
ReplyDeleteBasically it's fishing moraine park.
DeleteI'm returning to Estes Park in July with my family and plan to fish Cub Creek, among other streams in RMNP. In the past I crossed the bridge in Moraine Park and followed the road until it ended. Is that the best access point? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteYep, that's where I start
DeleteJust curious: do you normally start fishing upstream from the access gate or hike downstream and fish your way back up? Thanks
DeleteI usually fish up from the access gate. The fish are smaller but I'm just looking for action.
