Memorial day fishing

Thought I might try a little holiday fishing on the South Platte.  Knowing it would be busy I got out early for me and was at the river before 9am.  I find both the spots I want to fish occupied and find a couple different areas to fish for the day.  I walk a good stretch at each spot but can only get one fish to even move towards the fly.  After a few hours I call it a day.  Skunked!
