Cache La Poudre River
Drove up north with Mark to fish the Poudre for the day. The temps were in the sixties and the wind was pretty calm most of the day. The flows were around 80cfs and the water was low and clear. I fished a red Amy's Ant all day while Mark switched up between nymping and dries. Mark hooked up with his first fish before I even stepped into the river, bringing our hopes up for the day. We try 3 different spots throughout the day and end up catching 10 between us(8 on the Amy's Ant). Great day of fishing with my buddy as always.

DeleteWhen did you fall in love with the Amy's Ant? I found your blog a few months ago and I've been reading it from Day 1 forward. I'm up to April 2013, but I haven't yet seen the Amy's Ant that becomes so prevalent in your more recent posts. Really loving the blog!
ReplyDeleteAbout two years ago I finished up the fall using it and had great success. I have barely taken the pattern off since then. Thanks for the nice comments!
