Clear Creek

Headed back up to Clear Creek for a couple hours of fishing before work. Nice surprise to start the day, four big horn sheep on the side of the road.  I had intended to fish longer but it started to rain and I wimped out.  Up to that point though the fishing was tough.  I get to the creek and the water is stained from a small release.  It didn't matter to the fish as they would come up and sniff the fly, so I know they could see it, but not take it.  I stick with the Amy's Ant for a while because I am getting action, but can't land a fish.  I start switching patterns but go through at least six before landing on a tan Caddis.  I finish the day catching a couple good size rainbows and four browns.  Can't believe the Amy's Ant didn't catch a single fish!
