south Platte River

Had some time to kill so I headed down to the South Platte to fish for the day.  I get to the river around 10:30am and start fishing my way upstream.  I have on a hopper dropper rig but the action is very slow, so I continually switch flies, trying to find something that works.  I end up using a #12 Copper John to catch all but one of the fish, which took the two bit hooker.  I catch seven for the day including a nice 14"rainbow before calling it around 2:00pm.  Windy but still nice day in the mountains.
