Cache La Poudre River

Headed up to the Cache La Poudre with Mark for the day.  The weather was clear and hot and the water flow was around 300cfs but clear.  We get to the river around 10am and Mark has his first fish before I can get the rod set up.  We decide to fish one section of water from different sides of the river.  We both have on hopper patterns and by the time we take our first break we have 30 fish between us.  After a break and a half hearted try at another spot we decide to fish the first section again but reversed sides.  We both catch close to ten more each before calling it a day and heading back to the car.  Close to a fifty fish day, ain't bad!
