Cache La Poudre River

Headed up to the Cache La Poudre with Mark to try out the river flowing at around 350cfs.  The water was more or less clear but the flows were on the edge of sketchy when trying to cross the river.  The edges were fine and totally fishable.  We end up starting around noon and fishing until 6pm.  We start the day at the upper islands around the confluence with the South Fork.  I start the day having all the luck and catch a dozen fish over the first part of the day while Mark comes in with three.  The second half of the day goes the other way.  Mark ends up catching 14 more fish while I struggle to bring in three.  The good news on top of having a great fishing day was finding a new spot to fish on the back half of the day.
