South Platte River

Headed back to the South Platte for a few hours before the heat and or rain to come in.  I get to the river around 9:30am and fish for about 3 hours in two different spots.  My first stop is at one of my favorite spots over the last month or so.  I try the first couple pools but no luck and when I try the third pool the fish breaks me off.  I finally get into some fish as I work upstream and finish the first area with seven to hand and five on and off.  My second stop is a spot I have never tried before but wanted to for a while.  Sadly this spot gives up just one fish to hand.  Hot day out but still a good day on the water!
