A few hours on Bear Creek

Even though the flows were a little high, Mark and I decided to head up to Bear Creek for a few hours.  The weather was brilliant but the creek had a few more people than we expected.  We started the day at Little Park and worked our way up to Lair O' Bear Park over the coarse of about three hours.

I start the day by the old beaver ponds hoping to catch a fish early on dries.  After a number of casts and a few different flies I still have had no action to speak of so I decide to walk upstream of the bridge and find a new spot.  I fish the bend and manage to to pull in three small browns on a black beauty and a chocolate thunder.  While this was happening Mark ended up catching a number of fish on a purple san juan.

After we get pinned in by other fisherman we decide to call it a day and head back to the car with a good morning of fishing in the books.
