A few hours on Bear Creek

I start the day by the old beaver ponds hoping to catch a fish early on dries. After a number of casts and a few different flies I still have had no action to speak of so I decide to walk upstream of the bridge and find a new spot. I fish the bend and manage to to pull in three small browns on a black beauty and a chocolate thunder. While this was happening Mark ended up catching a number of fish on a purple san juan.

Rod: Wakata 9' 5/5
Line: Furled 12'
Flies that Worked: Black Beauty, Chocolate Thunder, Purple San Juan
